Christina Koletsa: ‘The Abortion I Had Was Like the End of Motherhood’

In a candid interview with Faye Skorda on the Buongiorno morning show (Thursday, 27.03.2025), Christina Koletsa opened up about her recent abortion experience. She revealed that when she discovered her pregnancy, it was approximately five to six weeks along. “I believe there is legislation regarding this, and it’s legally permitted,” Koletsa began. “Ultimately, it’s a personal opinion, and everyone should do what they feel is right. Trying to convince someone to agree with me is futile. I faced a serious health issue that hasn’t been fully diagnosed yet, and simultaneously learned during my tests that I was pregnant. It was a shock because I knew, given the treatment I was undergoing and previous tests, that keeping the child would be impossible.” She added, “When I found out, I was around five to six weeks pregnant. My doctor told me it was miraculous that it happened and called it a gift from God. If I had continued with the pregnancy, the child might have had issues.” Koletsa described the abortion as akin to the end of motherhood for her. She also disclosed that the situation led to the end of her four-year relationship, which had already been tumultuous. Despite never having married, she mentioned receiving proposals in the past. Koletsa concluded by reflecting on toxic relationships, emphasizing mutual responsibility and discussing her years of therapy to understand her struggles in relationships.
