Christina Koletsa: ‘I Recently Had an Abortion – It Was for My Own Good’

In a rare confession, renowned singer Christina Koletsa revealed that she recently underwent an abortion for health reasons. Speaking about the difficult decision she had to make, Koletsa emphasized that it was not perceived as a murder but rather an act done for her own well-being. During an interview on Wednesday (19.03.25) in the “Proino SouSou” show, she explained how health concerns forced her into making this specific choice, as there was significant risk to both herself and the unborn child. “I support abortion because I recently found myself in a situation where I had to undergo this process for health reasons. If I hadn’t done it, there could have been issues for both me and the baby coming into the world. I had no choice but to proceed with it. It hurt me deeply and left me very distressed,” she stated clearly. Koletsa clarified that she did not consider the action as murder; instead, she viewed it as something necessary. “Under no circumstances did I feel it was murder. I felt it was something that needed to be done for the good of my life and for someone entering life. It was extremely distressing, and I wished I could have continued the pregnancy. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible,” she concluded.
