In reality, I was criticizing the opposition’s logic of ‘money is available’—not fellow citizens I know struggle daily, including my sister, a doctor on a Greek island.’ She emphasized she wasn’t being cynical, clarifying her target was the opposition’s stance on spending without regard for future generations. Her controversial remark originated during the ‘Talk’ show, when asked how teachers earning €800 monthly could afford €400 rent. She replied: ‘Free died—and has been dead for years.
