Chaos erupted in Cholargos on Sunday afternoon (21.06.2026) when a 55-year-old driver crashed his car into two parked vehicles on Mesogeion Avenue around 1 p.m. After the collision, he abandoned the vehicle in the middle of the road and fled on foot.
According to reports, the driver began a reckless maneuver, striking both a white car and a taxi. The impact caused extensive damage and sent debris flying — one woman waiting for a taxi at the roadside was injured by the fragments. She was taken to hospital as a precaution and treated for minor injuries.
After the car came to a stop, both the driver and his passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to board a passing bus — as if nothing had happened. Bystanders quickly intervened, launching a foot chase that ended with the pair being detained before they could escape.
