Choi Wheesung: South Korean K-pop Star Found Dead at 43

The renowned K-pop star Choi Wheesung was found deceased at his home in Seoul at the age of 43. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Department, which is investigating the incident, stated that the singer passed away due to cardiac arrest and there are no signs of foul play. Born in February 1982 as Choi Whee-sung, he began his career in 2002 with the album ‘Like A Movie.’ He gained fame for tracks like ‘Insomnia’ (2009) and ‘Heartsore Story’ (2011). His unique voice and style earned praise from veteran Korean artists such as Shin Seung-hun and Seo Tae-ji, and he appeared on global platforms, including Hollywood. Additionally, Wheesung served as a music mentor to other K-pop stars and collaborated with top artists in the last decade.
