Tests have confirmed a strain in Chiquinho’s posterior thigh muscles, causing the Portuguese midfielder to miss a series of crucial games for Olympiacos in both the league and the Greek Cup. Chiquinho is expected to be sidelined for approximately 2-3 weeks, meaning he won’t feature in two derby matches against AEK Athens and one against PAOK. Specifically, Olympiacos faces an away derby with PAOK on matchday 24 of the Super League, followed by a home derby against AEK Athens on matchday 25. In between, they will also play against Enosis for the Greek Cup at the Karaiskakis Stadium. These three fixtures are scheduled from February 23 to March 2, 2025, and as such, Chiquinho is anticipated to miss all of them.
