Chaos erupted in Changsha, a major city in China’s Hunan Province, after an enraged bull escaped from a slaughterhouse and charged through a local market, injuring several people.

According to local reports, the bull appeared suddenly on city streets early on June 21. Footage circulating online shows panicked residents fleeing as the animal rampaged—reminiscent of a Hollywood action scene. In shocking clips, the bull violently strikes two pedestrians, sending them flying into the air. Moments later, it attacks a third person, knocking them to the ground.

The incident left three people injured. All were rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities responded swiftly: police cordoned off the area, and special police units were deployed to contain the animal. The slaughterhouse owner notified officials immediately upon learning of the escape.

Approximately two hours after the breakout, the bull was euthanized, according to media reports.
