The Chinese Ministry of Trade (MOC) announced that China’s anti-dumping on imported products from the European Union would be treated in an open and transparent manner on the basis of Chinese legislation and regulations, in accordance with the rules of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The representative of the same ministry, He Yadong said the investigation into imported dairy products was activated by reacting to a request from the domestic Chinese industry. Furthermore, he pointed out that the investigation is substantially different from the European Commission’s anti-dumping investigation into Chinese electric vehicles, as European research was activated without EU Member States or European industry having requested it.
