Chania: Arrests for the Knife Attack to 18 Years in the Evening EPAL

Arrests are increasing in respect of the bloody attack on an 18-year-old in Esperino, city. The bloody attack took place shortly after 8 on Monday night (16.09.2024) in Chania and the prosecutor have been led two of the arrested. According to police authorities’ pre-interrogation, a total of 8 people were arrested as involved in the incident, 6 minors and 2 adults but also 6 parents of minors, who are charged with neglect of supervision. The 6 minor students along with their parents were released on a prosecutor’s order, while the two adults who appear to be involved in the episode are expected to be taken to the Prosecutor of Chania on Wednesday morning. It all happened Monday night, when two “ex-schoolers” entered the courtyard of the evening EPAL, at the time they were there and students of the school and moved aggressively against an 18-year-old. One of the “extracurriculars” pulled out a sharp object with which the student’s face was injured. The perpetrators disappeared in an unknown direction, while the police arrived immediately. The student was taken to the hospital of Chania for first aid, with his condition not being serious. Police officers even went to the hospital to take his statement.
