Chania: An arrest for causing forest fires by intention

A man was arrested in the for challenging to forest area by intention, according to the evidence of the pre-interrogation that led to his identification. Official update of the RES – ICM by the COORDINATORY of the ICU announces that the arrest took place yesterday, Saturday, August 24, as part of the open procedure by investigators of the Department of Fire Service of Chania, to provoke a fire. The arrest concerns the fault of this man for a fire in Selinotiko Damari, Municipality of Kandanos – Selinos in Chania. The arrester will apologize on Tuesday 27 August 2024 before the Interrogative Prosecutor of Primary Chania.
