A significant drug bust was carried out by police authorities during an investigation involving a 34-year-old man from Chania. According to cretapost.gr, the operation took place yesterday evening (April 24, 2025), when officers, armed with substantial evidence about the suspect’s activities originating from Albania, conducted searches in both his car and home. During the vehicle inspection, authorities discovered a hidden compartment beneath the steering wheel containing a bag of cocaine. The authorities seized: 2 kilos and 465 grams of cocaine divided into 197 homemade packages, one precision scale, €3,000 believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking, one mobile phone used as a communication tool for drug sales, and three digital storage devices (USB sticks). Additionally, the suspect’s vehicle was impounded as it was used for transporting and distributing narcotics. Preliminary questioning is being handled by the Narcotics Division of the Organized Crime Investigation Department of Chania.
