Changes in the assessment brings the N/P for Public Administration

In the fight against “party politics” to the Public and to improve the… capacity of the public officials targeted by the bill for the establishment of a National Registry of Executives of Public Administration, evaluation of officials, and the new system of selection of managers, stressed the deputy minister for Administrative Reconstruction Christopher Βερναρδάκης.
Introducing the bill, which will be tabled in Parliament next Thursday, mr. Βερναρδάκης said that in the Register are public servants, and FACULTY members AEI and TEI with increased administrative and educational qualifications, and from this “tank” will be selected the persons who will staff the managerial positions of increased responsibility.
These include the general secretaries, deputy general secretaries and special secretaries of ministries, the presidents, the governors, the directors and all the members of the administrations of the public legal persons, whose appointment shall be carried out by the government.
As mentioned, the qualifications required for registration in the Register (a high degree assessments, possession of a postgraduate qualification, administrative experience, etc.) the feature on the 40,000-to 50,000 employees. In it you will not ultimately have a right of recording executives in the private sector only if there is inability to cover staff position in a private entity by the existing members of the Registry.
The selection will be made by a special council, under the ASEP, on the basis of the qualifications of the candidates, which it is estimated that it will contribute to αποκομματικοποίηση of the public sector.

The interview, carried out by an independent commission under the ASEP, will be open to the public and will be held virtually to ensure the integrity of the system and to avoid any breeding practices of the customer system.
The procedure for selection of directors-general with the new system will start immediately after the passing of the bill with a view to be completed in two months, while the directors and the heads of department will have been selected no later than June.
