A man sustained serious injuries—including a broken nasal bone, damage to the nasal septum, and severe facial bruising—after being violently assaulted inside a private medical office in Chaidari, a western suburb of Athens.

Assault Triggered by Request for Quiet

The victim said he asked another man in the waiting area to lower his voice while speaking loudly on two mobile phones. That request reportedly provoked an immediate and unprovoked physical attack. Speaking to Live News, the injured man described the incident: ‘He got up and slammed me against the wall.’

Second Attack on the Stairs

According to the victim, after the initial assault, the same man waited for him on the building’s staircase as he and his wife attempted to leave. ‘He told me, “I’ll wait for you downstairs to fix you,”’ the man recounted. His wife and the clinic’s doctor intervened during the second confrontation. The doctor, who did not know the attacker, rushed out upon hearing the commotion.

Injuries and Aftermath

The victim was hospitalized with a fractured nasal septum, eye trauma, and extensive facial contusions. He underwent a forensic medical examination. His wife, who also intervened, remains deeply shaken—and is reportedly unwell, having recently avoided losing her sight due to a prior illness.

The assailant, described by the victim as ‘probably insane,’ fled the scene. Authorities have identified him and are actively searching for his whereabouts. The victim has filed a formal complaint with police.

Note: The attacker is identified in local reports as a well-known Chaidari businessman, though he had no prior connection to the victim.
