Car Dragged and Killed 3-Year-Old Boy in Spata

The tragic incident that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old boy occurred today (8/4/25) at noon on Christou Bekas Avenue in Spata. The child was crossing the road when he was tragically dragged by a car driven by a 58-year-old man around 2 PM on Tuesday. Both the driver and the child’s mother immediately rushed him to the nearby Health Center, where doctors confirmed that the young boy had passed away. According to initial reports, the child, who belonged to a Romani family, let go of his mother’s hand and headed toward the road, where he was struck and dragged by the vehicle. The driver has been arrested, and the Traffic Department is conducting an investigation.
