Car Accident in Thessaloniki: Vehicle Crashes Into Column – 5 Injured, One Critical

An accident occurred shortly before noon on Friday (09.05.25) on Monastirio Street in western Thessaloniki, leaving five people injured. The vehicle overturned and collided with a column. Trapped victims were found inside the car, all of whom are reportedly from Bulgaria, and it is not ruled out that other vehicles may have been involved in the incident. Emergency services rushed to the scene with two EKAB units, three ambulances, and a mobile medical unit. As of now, there are five reported injuries, with one person in critical condition. According to information, all passengers and the driver were intoxicated.
