A video document by newsit.gr exposes the actions of a teenage gang that robbed stores in the Byron area. The three 17-year-old minors, who had become the fear of store owners and employees in Byron, were arrested last Wednesday afternoon (May 28, 2025). After extensive investigations, officers from the Athens Crime Detection and Tracking Department, in collaboration with DIAS police, located the perpetrators—two Greeks and one foreigner. The minors are accused of forming a gang responsible for robberies, theft, firearms violations, and vandalism. Their criminal activities began in March 2025, targeting stores during late hours while concealing their identities. Armed with kitchen knives and, in one instance, a replica gun, they stole cash from employees. In all cases, they wore a specific type of clothing and attempted to break into a store by throwing stones at a glass panel. During searches of their residences, authorities recovered a replica pistol, a kitchen knife, two hoods, ‘operational’ clothing used during the crimes, and four mobile phones. So far, five cases of store robberies and thefts have been identified in the Byron area. The suspects have been handed over to the relevant prosecuting authority.
