A passenger who was lightly injured during a collision between two OASA buses outside the A’ Plaz in Voula has described the panic that followed the incident. Speaking to newsit.gr, he recounted how he suffered minor cuts from glass fragments on his leg and later visited Asclepieio Hospital in Voula. Doctors examined him and found no serious injuries, allowing him to return home.

The young man, who was traveling with friends on the first bus, explained that initially everyone thought they had experienced a hard brake. He said: ‘Two of our friends have birthdays today. We took the tram to Glyfada and then the 122 bus. Just as we sat down, we felt something like a strong braking.’

He continued: ‘I managed to hold on and not move too far forward. I got some small cuts on my leg. There were injured people, including elderly individuals. It was difficult to watch without being able to help much. Once people realized what happened, it became chaotic. I think I handled it calmly and tried to assist others as best as I could.’

He added that he was lucky to be seated on the side of the bus where the engine is located, which lessened the impact. ‘I was at the back but on the engine side, so I wasn’t affected too much. My friends are okay too—some have cuts and broken glasses.’

Another young woman who was on the same bus also went to the hospital for checks. After being examined, she waited for her friend, who sustained a more serious injury after hitting her head on a knee. ‘My friend is waiting for X-rays, but she’s speaking well and seems fine. I didn’t feel anything,’ she said.
