Britain: The creepy message of a worker who attacked her manager with a hammer – “I did it, whoops”

An ambulance worker from her admitted to a friend that she hit her boss in the head with one, through a shocking message on her cell phone. Stacey Smith was charged with attempted murder for attacking her manager, Michala Morton, after ambushing her outside her home in late 2023, Daily Mail reported. In court she said she threatened her boss to kill her, screaming. Police said she repeatedly hit Morton in the head in the “unprovoked and frenzy” attack, leaving her with severe head injuries and broken wrist. The 46-year-old later texted a friend to say “I broke her head – Oopsie xx”, police announced. Smith was found guilty of attempted murder and received the 20-year prison sentence. Smith had planned to escape to Liverpool but surrendered to a police station. Morton had suffered physical injuries that changed her life, which “may heal, but the psychic trauma of the attack will remain on the victim for the rest of his life.” “I would like to thank her for her bravery for supporting us in our research,” the BBC quoted McNee as saying. Condemning Smith to 20 years in prison and a life order that prevented her from contacting Mrs. Morton again, Judge Hillary Manley said that Smith had “long resentment” towards Mrs. Morton and had gone to her home “to ambush her”. The judge said: “I detect very little remorse. In fact, you seem to feel justified in your actions, or at least you were led to it. This was a premeditated crime with design”.
