A shocking crime has been uncovered in Brazil, where a mother and her partner are accused of raping, torturing, and ultimately killing her 20-month-old daughter. The toddler, Maria Isis Vieira de Amorim, passed away on March 13 after being admitted to Sao Jose Hospital with severe injuries. Reports indicate that the child was unconscious, dehydrated, had a broken arm, and suffered from bruises all over her body. Initially, the mother’s partner claimed the child slipped in the bathtub and fell down the stairs. However, she later admitted to hitting the child with a shoe. The mother, Juliele Vieira de Amorim, reportedly knew about the abuse but disagreed with her partner’s actions without reporting them to the police. Authorities found signs of torture and rape on the child’s body, and further forensic examination is pending. Notably, the mother had recently been released from prison after serving time for drug trafficking.
