New video evidence has surfaced showing widespread mishandling of parcels by Box Now, reigniting public outrage and prompting fresh complaints from frustrated customers across Greece. The footage—captured in Thessaloniki—shows delivery staff carelessly throwing packages onto the ground from a white van before stuffing them into lockers. In one clip, a driver is seen tossing parcels at night with a flashlight in hand, while the van remains parked nearby, its alarm blaring. Another witness, who filmed the scene at a busy gas station, wrote in their social media post: “This happened in broad daylight, in front of people. Imagine what goes on inside their warehouses. It’s as if they’re doing us a favor. If someone told him to try breaking them, what more could he possibly do?”
From Broken Engagement Rings to Missing Phones
Among the most distressing reports is that of a woman who says she lost her engagement ring—sent for repair in a package handled by Box Now. According to her complaint to Live News, the parcel was marked as “received from locker” but never made it through sorting. It’s now officially listed as “missing.” Others describe receiving shattered electronics, including a smartphone ordered online and never delivered—despite repeated checks in the Box Now app, where even the estimated delivery date disappeared without explanation.
A Pattern, Not an Isolated Incident
Box Now previously dismissed earlier allegations—stemming from a viral video shot in Kiato—as an isolated case involving a single employee who was promptly fired. But these newly released videos suggest a systemic issue rather than an exception. Complaints have flooded Live News’ call center and social media platforms since early this month, many accompanied by photos of mangled packages—even those carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and gauze.
Delays, Silence, and Unresolved Claims
Customers report prolonged delays, lack of communication, and unfulfilled promises of compensation. Some suspect the company is banking on frustration and fatigue to deter claims. One beekeeper from Ioannina complained about a shipment of honey jars sent from Ioannina to Athens: “Nothing arrived. It’s a complete disaster. Something’s clearly going wrong—and no one answers, no one talks.”
The mounting backlash raises serious questions about logistics standards, accountability, and consumer protection in Greece’s rapidly expanding parcel delivery sector.
