Starting tomorrow, Thursday, 9 July at 2 p.m., eligible individuals and book sector providers can begin submitting electronic applications to participate in the Public Employment Service (DYPA)’s 2026 Book Purchase Voucher Programme. The application portal will remain open until Wednesday, 15 July at 11:59 p.m.
Aim and Scope
The programme aims to support the intellectual development of Greece’s workforce and bolster businesses in the publishing and bookselling sector. A total of 150,000 vouchers—each worth €25 including VAT—will be issued, with a total budget of €3.75 million. Implementation will run from 1 September to 31 December 2026.
How It Works
Each voucher takes the form of a unique electronic code. Holders can use it to receive a 10% discount on any book purchased from registered providers listed in DYPA’s Provider Registry—including bookshops and publishing houses.
Who Is Eligible?
Eligible applicants include:
- Employees under private-sector dependent employment contracts, insured with e-EFKA and contributing to DYPA’s unemployment insurance scheme within the 12 months preceding the application deadline; or
- Unemployed individuals registered in DYPA’s Digital Jobseekers’ Registry, who have been continuously unemployed for at least three months as of the application deadline—and whose annual household income falls within specified limits:
– Up to €16,000 for single applicants;
– Up to €24,000 for married applicants (plus €5,000 per child);
– Up to €29,000 for single parents (plus €5,000 per child after the first).
Priority Access
For the first time, families with three or more children will be granted automatic eligibility without point-based ranking—provided they meet all other criteria. All other applicants will be selected through an objective, transparent scoring system managed via DYPA’s Integrated Information System (OIS), weighing factors such as disability status, single parenthood, number of children, income level, and prior participation (or non-participation) in earlier editions of the programme.

Applicants must log in using their TAXISnet credentials and AMKA (Social Security Number) via the ‘Login via AADE Certification’ option.
Providers
Eligible providers include bookshops and publishing houses of any legal structure, provided they hold a valid operating licence. Providers from last year’s programme will be automatically re-enrolled in the Provider Registry—pending timely renewal of their registration and supporting documents.
