2024 was a year when large groups of car manufacturers showed either stability in sales or reduction, mainly due to China, such as the group. The economic recession in China, which is a huge market for the car, affected the sales of top groups, resulting in their goals being adjusted in mid-year. One such group was the BMW Group that showed total deliveries of 2,450,804 vehicles, which apart from the issue with China, faced delays related to the brake system, Integrated Brake System (IBS), which contributed to the decrease in sales. It is worth noting that electric vehicles accounted for 24.2% of the total sales of BMW Group in 2024, with 593.15 classifications , of which 426,594 units were purely electric vehicles, which constituted 17.4% of total sales . Indeed, the increase in sales purely electric in 2024, compared to 2023, was +13.5%. BMW sold 368.523 electrical (+11.6%) and MINI still 56.181 (+24.3%) units, while 1,890 electric Rolls-Royce (+479.6%) were sold. Overall the BMW brand delivered 2,200,177 the vehicle to customers in 2024 (-2.3%). In Europe it increased its market share, as in the United States, while in China it fell. M GmbH recorded 206,582 sales (+2.1%) and achieving a new historical high, while the brand MINI that fully renewed its range of models last year, recorded 244,915 units worldwide (-17.1%). However, in the fourth quarter of 2024, MINI nearly doubled sales electrically compared to 2023, with 29,698 units. In conclusion, Rolls – Royce sales amounted to 5,712 units (-5.3%) and BMW Motorrad in 210,408 motorcycles and scooters (+0.6%), scoring another year record.
