Blinken’s message to Turkey over maritime claims: Disputes not resolved by force

A meeting of the UN Security Council on “Maintaining International Peace and Security at Sea” took place yesterday, Monday 9 August.

According to diplomatic sources, during the meeting, the US and French Foreign Ministers, Anthony Blinken and Jean-Yves Le Drian, respectively, referred to the need to implement and adhere to the rules of International Law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)

These positions come once again to confirm the law of the Greek positions, which are presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to his interlocutors.
