More specifically, NielsenIQ’s research, conducted between 1,001 Greeks aged 18-64, reveals that 8 out of 10 consumers intend to purchase Black Friday 2024, while 6 out of 10 will make purchases that had been postponed in the previous period pending this period. Although most have not fully planned their markets, they maintain a waiting position, waiting for the last moments to evaluate the best “opportunities”. Clothing and footwear, as well as technology products, are at the top of preferences, with over half consumers ready to benefit from discounts. Following are small and large household appliances, which also attract considerable interest. Men show greater preference for technology products, while women focus more on clothing and footwear. Among technology products, smartphone devices dominate preferences, with televisions and laptops/notebooks following. In addition, many consumers intend to take advantage of the discount period for the purchase of emergency items such as supermarket products. According to the same research, online markets continue to maintain strong dynamics this year, balancing the choice of the physical store. Consumers set as a prerequisite the choice of either physical, electronic shop, very good prices and offers, as well as the variety of brands.
