Bill Gates is the largest landowner in the US!

It all started in 1995 when Gates wanted to somehow tap into the vast wealth he already possessed as the founder and owner of Microsoft.

For this reason, he hired Michael Larson, a fund manager. Shortly afterward, Larson founded Cascade Investment and began buying large plots of land on his behalf.

In less than a decade, the “Farmer Bill” as it has been described, has managed to acquire a huge number of arable land.

Now, his “rural empire” consists of about 1.077.000 acres of land that stretches across 18 states across the country.

Engaging in agriculture is considered a first-class investment move nowadays and that is the main reason why Bill Gates decided to invest in this sector.
