In continuous communication with each other, it appears that these are the residents of Barymboppi, as thefts continue to increase. A documentary video published by Mega captured the moment when four masked individuals broke into a house in the area. Even though the home’s alarm system may have been activated, it did not deter the thieves, who quickly emptied all drawers in one room and placed their loot into large bags. The footage shows them giving orders to each other to hurry up. Before leaving with the stolen goods, they appear to take one last look around to ensure they didn’t leave any valuable items behind. On their way out, they even took an entire drawer with them. ‘We had gone to the supermarket with the family, and during our absence, they entered, taking everything. We returned after half an hour, and nothing was left in our house,’ said the victim of the break-in. Following numerous burglaries, residents of Barymboppi mobilized through group chats on social media to alert each other about suspicious individuals in the area. In another documented video, a different burglar is seen realizing his movements were recorded by security cameras and quickly exits through the window he had just broken into moments before. Residents have requested authorities to increase patrols in their neighborhood.
