Austria: Swiss crew member died after emergency landing – Smoke was filled with cabin

A crew member of the Swiss company, who had to make an emergency landing on 23 December in , due to smoke in the cabin, succumbed yesterday on Monday (30.12.2024), the operator announced. “Swiss mourns the loss of a cabin crew member of the aircraft”, who died “in a Graz hospital in Austria”, the management of the Swiss company announced. “Out of respect for his relatives, we will not disclose information about the person working with us, nor about his cause of death,” he added. Another crew member was also hospitalized, while 12 passengers received medical treatment. “We will do everything within our powers, in cooperation with the competent authorities, to ascertain the causes of the accident.
