Austrian Conservative chancellor Karl Nehamer put an end to his negotiations with the Social Democrats in an attempt to form a government, stressing that they failed to reach an agreement on key issues. “We have negotiated long and hard. An agreement with the (social democratic party) SPÖ is not possible on key issues. Therefore, we end negotiations with SPÖ,” Nehamer said in a message on the social networking platform X.
