Traffic restrictions will take effect tonight, Monday, 13 July 2026, on the Attiki Odos motorway. The exits toward the Athens–Lamia National Highway (A.Θ.Ε.) at the Metamorfosi Grade-Separated Interchange (A6) will be closed — but only for traffic heading toward Lamia — due to the start of construction modification works at the interchange.
Nighttime Closure Schedule
These restrictions will apply exclusively during nighttime hours, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., on both Monday, 13 July and Tuesday, 14 July 2026.
Diversion Routes
Vehicles approaching from Markopoulo or Eleusis bound for the Athens–Lamia Highway (A.Θ.Ε.) in the direction of Lamia must exit toward Piraeus and perform a U-turn:
- Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes: at the Nea Filadelfeia level (Vrioulon Bridge);
- Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes: at the Peristeri level (Dyrrachium Avenue).
New Attiki Odos has implemented all necessary safety and driver assistance measures. Temporary signage has been installed throughout the affected area to ensure full visibility and clarity for motorists.
New Attiki Odos extends its sincere thanks for drivers’ understanding and urges all road users to pay close attention to the temporary signage and follow instructions issued by traffic police.
