Attiki Odos Closed Near Plakenzia Due to Vehicle Fire

The Attiki Odos highway was closed early Monday morning (19.05.2025) in the direction of Eleusis, specifically near the Doukissa Plakenzia area due to a vehicle fire. Emergency services rushed to the scene with six firefighters using two vehicles to control the blaze. The last exit towards Eleusis is the exit leading to Marathon Avenue, according to an announcement from Attiki Odos. Traffic congestion has been reported near the Doukissa Plakenzia exit as a result of the fire. Attiki Odos remains closed in the Eleusis direction near Plakenzia due to the vehicle fire. The final exit available for drivers heading towards Eleusis is the Marathon Avenue exit.
