Attica A.E. SYMMETOHON has proceeded with the sale of the passenger and vehicle ferry Crete I, owned by one of its subsidiaries, to a ship recycling unit included in the European Ship Recycling Facility List. The sale aligns with both European and Greek regulations regarding safe and environmentally sound ship recycling. According to a company announcement, the transaction price reached $3.6 million USD, which is expected to boost the group’s liquidity. A financial gain of €0.5 million was recorded from the sale. This move is part of Attica Group’s strategy to renew and modernize its fleet, aiming to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
