Attica Group: At 593.4 million euro the consolidated turnover at 9 months

At 593.4m euros its turnover was in the 9 month 2024, compared with 465.6m euros in the 9 month of 2023, with an increase of 27.4%. The consolidated Profits before Taxes, Finance, Investment Results and Depreciation (EBITDA) of Attica Group amounted to EUR 93,5 million compared to profits of EUR 121,3 million in the nine months of 2023 and consolidated profits after taxes of EUR 45,3 million over profits of EUR 59.9 million in the nine months of 2023. The Group Attica S.A. Shareholders announced the results of the nine-month period 2024, with the inclusion for the first time throughout the nine-month reporting period of the work of the “NAME nautical company Crete S.A.” and its subsidiaries (ANEK), after the completion of the merger by absorption by the company. It is noted that the results of the nine-month period and in general of the 2024 year are borne by non-repeated costs related to the merger and operational integration of ANEK, such as the voluntary exit programme, the cost of upgrading ships, the costs of training and integration of crews and land personnel, and other costs of merging totalling EUR 18.5 million. In addition, the Group’s operating costs were affected by the burden on the purchase of pollutants rights, amounting to EUR 14,1 million, in accordance with the European Union Emissions Trading System first implemented by 1.1,2024. The Group’s loan was reduced from EUR 588.5 million on 31/12/2023 to EUR 578.2 million on 30/9/2024, while the unused funding limits amounted to EUR 34 million. The cash available and equivalent to 30.09.2024 amounts to EUR 42,3 million reduced from EUR 103,4 million to 31.12.2023, mainly due to the extensive investment programme implemented. The Group has made a total investment cash outflow of EUR 145,1 million over the entire nine-month reference period including the advance on long-term chartering with the right to purchase 2 E-Flexer-type ships under construction, the acquisition of the passenger-vehicle (E/G-O/C) courier ship “High Speed 3” (ex. Thunder), the exercise of the relevant right to buy passenger-vehicle ships KISAMOS and KYDON, the purchase of the new hotel complex in Naxos, the renovation of the hotel in Tinos, extensive digitisation projects, as well as the environmental upgrades and maintenance of the Group’s ships. The Group’s fleet with the brands «Superfast Ferries», «Blue Star Ferries», «Hellenic Seaways» and «Anek Lines», numbers 43 ships, of which 28 are conventional passenger – ferry ships, 13 are speedboats and 2 ships are trucks – ferries. All of the Group’s ships are privately owned except for two (2) passenger-cars, which are chartered. During the nine-month period 2024, the Group’s ships made routes to Greece (Cyclades, Dodecanese, Crete, B.A. Aegean, Saronic, Sporades) and to the International Line of Greece – Italy (Ancona, Bari, Venice). The Group’s transportation project shows an increase compared to the nine month 2023. In particular, in the nine-month period of 2024 the Group’s ships carried 6.1 million passengers (5.4 million passengers in the nine-month period of 2023- an increase of 12.2%), 1.1 million vehicles (853 million J.E. vehicles in the nine-month period of 2023- an increase of 25.3%) and 407 thousand trucks (319 thousand trucks in the nine-month period of 2023- an increase of 27.4%). Ship routes for the nine-month period 2024 amounted to 14,411 (13,412 in the nine-month period of 2023- an increase of 7.4%. The Company plans to organize a presentation to the international investment audience in London in January 2025.
