Four individuals have been arrested in Attica on Friday (02.05.2025) following a major police operation targeting drug trafficking and violations of Greek national ID issuance laws, as well as the validity of police IDs. In addition to drug-related charges, the suspects are accused of attempted murder, theft, and counterfeiting. Authorities managed to arrest four people while two others remain at large, charged solely with drug trafficking. During the investigation, authorities discovered three handmade nylon packages containing heroin weighing a total of 171 grams. These packages were found in an open area behind their homes, which the suspects monitored using security cameras. Overall, the search of their houses and the open area resulted in the seizure of 171 grams of heroin, 380 grams of an unknown substance used for drug adulteration, two vehicles, two mobile phones, three surveillance cameras, two metal sifters, and €845 in cash. Investigations revealed that the accused have a history of criminal activity, including past cases of attempted murder, theft, counterfeiting, drug offenses, traffic violations, and failure to issue police identification. One of the suspects is also subject to restrictive conditions. The arrested individuals were handed over to the competent prosecuting authority. The operation involved officers from the Special Operations Division and the Operational Actions Department of the Information and Special Actions Directorate.
