Mild upward trends prevailed at today’s (25.11.2024) Athens meeting, amid rising movements and European markets. The General Index on the Greek stock exchange closed at 1,406.20 units, rising 0.33%. Intraconferences recorded a higher value at 1,410.67 units (+ 0.65%). The turnover ejected above the levels of EUR 200 million due to portfolio restructuring following the review of the MSCI indicators. The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 208,82 million, while 41,589,627 shares were traded. The high capitalisation index showed a marginal rise of 0.04%, while the mid-capitalization index was reinforced to 1.72%. Of the shares in high capitalization, the largest rise was recorded by the shares of PPA (+3.85%), Greece (+2.94%), Elvalhalcor (+2.56%), Aegean Airlines (+1.88%) and GEK TERNA (+1.68%). On the contrary, the largest fall was recorded by OPAP shares (1.52%), Lamda Development (1.38%), National (- 0.61%) and Mytilene (-0.57%). The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus by moving 8,164,699 and 5,117,189 shares, respectively. The largest transaction value was OTE with 34.78m euros and Piraeus with 18.47m euros. 60 shares, 33 drops, and 19 remained stable were moved upward. The biggest rise was in shares: Progressive +8,0% and Mermeren +7,80%. The largest fall was recorded by the shares: Hebroma – 3.19% and CPI – 3.09%.
