Athens Stock Exchange: Close by 1.38%, at 136.21m euros

Strong pressure was placed on their prices in today’s meeting, with the market returning to downward orbit, after yesterday’s upward reaction, retreating to the levels of 1,380 units. At the heart of the liquidations on the Athens Stock Exchange, the banking shares and the title of Motor Oil were found. The General Price Index closed at 1,381.83 units, dropping 1.38%. Intra-sessionly recorded a lower value at 1,377.23 units (-1,70%). The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 136,21 million, while 31,925,128 shares were traded. The high capitalization index fell to 1.28%, while the mid-capitalization index declined to 1.90%. Of the shares in high capitalization, the largest rise was recorded by Autohellas (+1.47%), Mytilene (+1.23%) and Saranti (+0.92%). On the contrary, the largest fall was made by Motor Oil/4.11%, Alpha Bank (-3.6%), Piraeus (-3.42%), Greece (-3.34%) and PPA (-2.86%). The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank by moving 8,632,454 and 7,377,880 shares respectively. The largest transaction value was recorded by the National with 31.01m euros and Piraeus with 17.94m euros. Upward 13 shares, 88 drops, and 22 remained stable. The biggest rise was in shares: Selected +10.00% and Minerva +1.96%. The largest fall was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(p) -20.59% and Attica Bank -5.67%.
