While schools are still on summer break, preparations for the new academic year are already underway. In anticipation of student registrations and recognizing the importance of prevention and early diagnosis in childhood and adolescence, the Athens Pediatric Center and the Thessaloniki Interbalkan Medical Center — both part of the Athens Medical Group — are offering comprehensive, pre-school health screening packages under the ‘Back to School’ initiative. These packages are available at special rates until October 30, 2026.
Designed for Students Up to Age 16
The ‘Back to School’ packages target children and adolescents up to 16 years old. Their aim is to provide timely medical evaluation before the first bell rings — giving parents peace of mind about their child’s health and safety as they return to school and daily activities.

Health Screening Packages — Athens Pediatric Center
Standard Package:
Includes ophthalmologic and pediatric cardiology assessment, ECG, and cardiac Triplex ultrasound. With a valid EOPYY referral: €65*. Without referral: €95*.
Sports Readiness Package:
Tailored for students returning to physical activity, this includes pediatric orthopedic evaluation of musculoskeletal development and gait, pediatric cardiology assessment, ECG, and cardiac Triplex ultrasound. With EOPYY referral: €65. Without referral: €95*.
*Note: A €3 fee applies to all services, as stipulated by Law 5102/2024 (Article 25, Government Gazette A’55).
Additional standalone services offered at the Athens center include:
- Tympanometry and pediatric ENT evaluation: €30 (ages 0–5); €40 (ages 5–16, including audiogram)
- Dermatologic evaluation: €25
- Pediatric orthopedic spine screening (for scoliosis detection): €25
- Body weight assessment with pediatric endocrinologist: €40
- Nutritionist consultation (if recommended): €40

This location offers a bundled package including pediatric, ophthalmologic, and pediatric cardiology assessments, plus ECG and cardiac Triplex ultrasound for €55.
