Athens International Airport: Increased profits in the 9 months due to increased passenger traffic

Strong rise in revenue and recorded in the 9th of 2024 The improvement in revenues and profits was based on the rise in passenger traffic in AIA. More specifically, total revenue and other income increased by 9.8% in the nine months of 2024 to 509,0 million euros compared to 463,61 million euros in the nine months of 2023. The significant increase in passenger traffic by 13.3% and successful commercial development contributed both to Air and Non-Air Activities. As regards profitability, the Adapted EBITDA amounted to EUR 339.9 million, with an increase of 16.9% compared to the nine-month period of 2023, as a result of a strong increase in revenues, operational profitability and high adjusted EBITDA margin (66.8%). It is noted that the adjusted EBITDA is calculated by including the negative impact of the fixed annual amount of the Remuneration for Rights (15 million EUR per year) and excluding the Covid-19 compensation received in the 3rd quarter of 2023 and relating to the 2nd half of 2020. Profits after Taxes increased by 6.4m euros to 195.1m euros, increasing 3.4% over 188.7m euros in the nine months of the previous year.
