Upward trends recorded share prices in the current (29.10.2024) of the Athens Stock Exchange, with the return of above 1,400 units. The market reacted upwards after five falling meetings, during which the main stock index recorded total losses of 3.69%. The General Index closed at 1,401.18 units, rising 0.79%. Intra-sessionly recorded a higher value at 1,409.71 units (+1.40%). The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 182,33 million, of which EUR 56,07 million relates to transactions in packages, while 52,027,376 shares were transferred. The high capitalisation index rose to 0.99%, while the mid-capitalization index was marginally reinforced to 0.09%. Of the shares in high capitalization, the largest rise was recorded by the shares of AIA (+4.09%), National (+2.98%), Eurobank (+2.55%) and Titan (+1.87%). On the contrary, Coca Cola HBC’s (-1.57%), Viohalco (-1.12%) and the ELPE’s (-0.87%) share fell. The largest volume of transactions were presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus by moving 26,919,487 and 6,834,963 shares, respectively. The largest transaction value was the National with 49.61m euros and Piraeus with 21.92m euros. 68 shares, 33 drops, and 26 remained stable were moved upwards. The biggest rise was in shares: Selected +10.00% and AIA+4.09%. The biggest fall was recorded by shares: Bioter -9,44% and Prodea -5,80%.
