Daily challenges faced by urban drivers in Greece were highlighted once again when a bus driver became the victim of a violent road rage incident in Athens. Just days after another similar event, this new episode raises concerns about the state of our roads, particularly in the capital. A car driver, angered after being cut off by a bus, initiated a dangerous pursuit. According to Alpha, the driver followed the bus for some time, honking and flashing lights aggressively. Concerned for his own safety and that of his passengers, the bus driver stopped near a patrol car and informed the police about the situation. The police conducted a check on the car but released the driver. In a state of agitation, the driver resumed following the bus and began pounding on the doors with sticks in an attempt to enter. When that failed, he resorted to throwing stones at the bus’s windshield, causing damage.
