According to an announcement by SEGAS, this edition marks the 42nd year of the tradition with several innovations aimed at enhancing the race experience. The new user-friendly official website streamlines the registration process, allowing participants to manage their entries anytime. In collaboration with the Attica Hoteliers Association, attendees will receive valuable information about transportation from hotels, and many hotels will offer breakfast earlier on race day. The upgraded Marathon Expo provides essential race info, offers, and thousands of running-related products. Starting in 2025, runners will receive a high-quality thermal poncho along with their bib number. Clothing check services will move from the starting line to the Zappeion area, allowing participants to drop off their clothes days in advance, aligning with international standards. Additionally, an organized clothing collection system at the start will benefit vulnerable groups, strengthening the marathon’s social profile.
