Aspropyrgos: Gunshots with Hunting Rifle in Roma Camp – 3 Children Injured

A shocking firearm incident occurred late Saturday evening (05.07.2025) in Aspropyrgos. Just before 22:00, four individuals traveling in a car launched an armed attack using a hunting rifle on a residential house belonging to a family living in a Roma settlement in Aspropyrgos. As a result of the gunfire, three children were slightly injured. The bullets also caused material damage to the family’s vehicle. The injured children, aged 10, 11, and 12, were taken to Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital and are reported to be out of danger. Following the incident, the children’s parents visited the Aspropyrgos police station to file a statement. The perpetrators fled the scene and are currently being sought by authorities.
