Arrested for illegal “gambling” fifteen nationals for illegal gambling in various regions of Thessaly

Were arrested, in the framework of controls for the control of… illegal “gambling”, the day before yesterday night and yesterday in the early morning hours, in various regions of Thessaly, by officers of the Security sub-Division of Larissa, Department of Safety of Karditsa, and the Department of Safety of Trikala, in three (3) different occasions, a total of fifteen (15) nationals for conduct and participation in illegal gambling .
In particular, in the first case, last night, in the broader area of Larissa, officers of the Security sub-Division of Larissa, conducted a control in a store – cafe, where it was found to be carried out in a specially designed table, the illegal lucky a game of “STUD”.
They were arrested a total of eight nationals, and in particular, the 40-year-old is temporarily in charge, and seven players aged from 47 to 61 years of age, while searching for the owner of the shop.
In the control total found and seized (40) playing cards, as well as the total amount of (544) euro, as derived from the conduct of illegal gaming χαρτοπαιγνίου.
In the second case , last night, in the broader area of Karditsa, officers of the Department of Security of Karditsa, conducted a control in a store – cafe, where it was found, in a specially designed table, the conduct of illegal gaming “STUD”.
They were arrested a total of five nationals, and in particular the 45-year-old is temporarily in charge of four players, aged from 32 to 55 years, while searching for the owner of the store.
In the control total found and seized (72) decks of cards, two pairs of dice, (449) brands, as well as the total amount of (1.100 euro), as derived from the conduct of illegal gaming χαρτοπαιγνίου.
In the third case , today in the early hours in the wider area of Trikala, by officers of the Department of Safety Trikala took place control, in health stores, where it was found to be carried out by means of a computer illegal lucky game, type “slots”.
They were arrested, the 47-year-old owner of the shop and a 69years old man national who participated as a player in the illegal game.
In the control total found and seized a complete computer system, a παιγνιομηχάνημα, through which was the lucky game of type “tic-tac-toe, and a small amount of money, as derived from the conduct of illegal gambling.
The arrested individuals will be brought to the competent public Prosecutors, while it should be noted that similar checks continue throughout Thessaly.
