Armed Robber in Attica: 37-Year-Old Hotel Thief Arrested After 6 Heists

Fear and panic gripped employees in southern and northern suburbs of Attica after a 37-year-old man was arrested by police. Authorities managed to track down the suspect during an attempted robbery on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Law enforcement officers caught him red-handed as he entered a hotel on the coastal road near Glyfada, intending to steal as much money as possible.

In a documented photograph released by ERT, the moment is captured when the man enters the reception area of a central hotel in the southern suburbs, threatening a young employee with a weapon. In this incident, the 37-year-old managed to steal €830 before disappearing into the night.

Further investigation revealed that the 37-year-old Albanian national had committed six armed robberies at hotels across both suburbs of Attica over the past 15 days, according to ERT. Security officials also discovered three outstanding arrest warrants against him for robberies committed in recent years in the region.
