A disturbance occurred today (12.04.2025) on a KTEL bus in Chalkidiki. The driver reported being threatened by an armed passenger carrying a knife. The KTEL driver in Chalkidiki managed to stop the bus, contact authorities, and within minutes, police arrived and arrested the perpetrator. The bus was traveling on the Ouranoupoli – Thessaloniki route when, according to Voria reports, a passenger who boarded in Stratoniki and appeared under the influence of substances, threatened the bus driver with a knife for unknown reasons. The bus stopped in Paleochnora where the suspect disembarked but did not move far from the vehicle. At that moment, the driver managed to contact the police, and shortly afterward, EL.AS officers arrived and apprehended the armed individual. The bus continued its journey to Thessaloniki with the remaining passengers. After completing his shift, the driver will visit the General Police Directorate of Chalkidiki to file a report about the serious incident.
