A major incident has shaken authorities following an armed robbery that took place this Friday (04.04.25) at a bank in Katochi Aetoloakarnania. Reports indicate that the perpetrators held customers and staff hostage inside the branch for several hours. The robbery occurred shortly after 10:00 AM when two individuals, with their faces concealed, stormed into the bank located in the Katochi Aetoloakarnania region. After immobilizing the customers and employees by threatening them with weapons, they headed toward the safe, which they managed to open after approximately 15 minutes, according to reports. Subsequently, the culprits made off with €200,000 and fled the scene, prompting police to launch a manhunt for their capture. At the same time, authorities are investigating the possibility of a third person being involved, who may have acted as a lookout outside the bank.
