Renowned musician Aris Moukopoulos remains hospitalized after suffering a hand injury during an Easter celebration that resulted in the loss of two fingers. Despite this setback, Moukopoulos has expressed his determination to overcome the incident with strength and resilience. Surrounded by his family and supporters, including Ioanna Paliospyrou, who visited him to offer support, he emphasized the power he draws from love and solidarity.
In a recent interview on Live News (05.05.2025), Moukopoulos stated, ‘With their love, I gain the strength to be sure within myself that I will return stronger. Whether with two hands or one, I will play again.’ He further explained, ‘From the age of ten, when I first held a clarinet, I knew this would be my life’s work. Even now, I dedicate my return to my father.’
Addressing the incident, Moukopoulos noted his fear of fireworks, especially as a parent. He took full responsibility for lighting the device but expressed disappointment at not receiving an apology from the person who handed it to him.
Looking ahead, Moukopoulos remains optimistic about his recovery, stating, ‘We have a long road ahead, but we won’t give up. I can’t afford not to return. I will succeed.’
