Arcadia: 50-Year-Old Man Barricades Himself in Home, Threatens Suicide – Sent Video to 13-Year-Old

Chaos erupted in Megalopoli today (July 2, 2025) when a man barricaded himself inside his home and threatened to take his own life. Police from Kalamata arrived in the Arcadian village early this morning with the intention of arresting a 50-year-old man suspected of sending inappropriate video material via social media to a minor girl aged 13. The mother of the underage girl immediately reported the incident, prompting law enforcement to reach the suspect’s house. Upon realizing that police had arrived, the man locked himself indoors while threatening to commit suicide. Authorities then called in a negotiator and psychologist to assist at the scene. However, before they could arrive, the 50-year-old reportedly tried to escape through a back door carrying a rifle. He remains at large.
