The first program aired was the “Telerulette”, on the evening of December 31, 1989, a video game show featuring Terrence Quick, which on that day acted like a New Year’s Eve, synchronized in such a precise way that viewers watch time change through the station’s frequency. The first general coordinator of the newly established channel and producer, Nikos Mastorakis brought several original ideas for Greek viewers, based on ideas of foreign producers after his stay in the US. Programs like Game Show “The wheel of chance” (1990-1997) and the comedy series ” Men and Not” (1993-1996), were among the first of the genre, and there were cartoons that aired in the morning hours, most compiled in Greek. Also in 1991 the transmission of the series Shining began and in 1993 of Good morning Zoe, which exceeded the 3,000 episodes each and are the longest Greek series. CORVERSE ANT1 was the first television station in Greece to introduce daily information and entertainment magazines, such as the two longest-lived television shows on Greek television, Morning Greece and Breakfast coffee, which began in 1991. In 1992 ANT1 launched the first show, with Rula Koromila taking over the presentation of the Ciao ANT1.
