Ano Patissia: Serious Car Accident Leaves Man Trapped

A serious car accident occurred in Ano Patissia, at the intersection of Kautantzoglou Street and Ionias Avenue, shortly after 11 PM on Wednesday (March 19, 2025). The 45-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle while entering a tunnel, causing a collision with barriers in the opposite lane. Nearby drivers alerted Emergency Services, prompting two fire department vehicles to rush to the scene as the man was trapped inside the car, with airbags deployed. Firefighters successfully extracted him, and according to reports, he was conscious when handed over to the EKAB ambulance team.
