Androulakis Turns Away from Fammel and Looks to Haritsis and Konstantopoulou for No-Confidence Motion

In what appears to be the worst phase of their relationship, Nicos Androulakis and Socrates Fammel have no chemistry between them. Notably, while the president of PASOK communicated on Monday (03.03.25) with Alexis Haritsis regarding the no-confidence motion proposal, there was no contact with the leader of SYRIZA. Late last night, reliable sources indicated that the head of the official opposition reached out to Alexis Haritsis and Zoe Konstantopoulou, proposing they submit the no-confidence motion alone due to a lack of agreement with Kourmoundourou’s party. However, both Haritsis and Konstantopoulou responded that they would not proceed without the signature of the SYRIZA president, as the number of signatures required should exceed the necessary 50 for the no-confidence motion. Currently, PASOK, along with Petros Pappas, has 33 MPs, New Left 11, and Freedom Voyage 6, totaling 50 MPs. Parties supporting the no-confidence motion include SYRIZA, New Left, Freedom Voyage, and KKE, which will vote in favor without co-signing the document. The movement initiated by Androulakis became known to Kourmoundourou, though no one wished to escalate the issue as the priority remains the submission of the censure proposal. Today’s developments will reveal further actions, with PASOK reportedly drafting a text subject to amendments by other parties. The question remains whether PASOK will accept proposals from other parties to include issues like thefts and accuracy in the no-confidence motion text. Meanwhile, discussions about the pre-trial committee for Christos Triantopoulos are ongoing, involving Milena Apostolaki, Evangelia Liakouli, and Panagiotis Doudonis from PASOK. Criticism against government representative Pavlos Marinakis erupted during Sunday’s midday press conference by PASOK-KINAL representative Kostas Tsoukalas over the funding of the bazaar. Further interest lies in whether PASOK aligns with SYRIZA’s request for a pre-trial hearing for Nikos Papathanasis and Yiannis Tsakiris.
